A Return to Our Roots -- Festival 2005 was a huge success!

Festival Attendance List
The 2005 Festival Attendee List is available to attendees in electronic form. It can be used to continue the contacts and friends you made in Connecticut – but please don’t use it to solicit business and please don’t share with others who did not attend the festival. To receive a copy of the list, contact the SDG office at sdg@marinermanagement.com or 301-725-1027.

Sacred Dance Guild Festival 2005- Dancing Our Roots…Stretching New Branches! took place at Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut which is located between New York City and Boston. It is a beautiful site overlooking Long Island Sound and has a 750 acre arboretum with landscaped grounds and natural areas.

As many of you may know, Connecticut College was the host of the American Dance Festival from 1946-1976, with the pioneers of American Modern Dance teaching, creating, and performing there. Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, Jose Limon, Twyla Tharp were among those involved. Connecticut College continues its strong association with dance and offers a major in Dance and Choreography. There is a building with four spacious dance studios where we danced!

More than 200 dancers came from all over the east coast, Canada and as far away as California! A wonderful time was had by all.
