December 19-21, 2012- SDG will be one of the sponsors for the WWW.2012SEDONA.COM "Birthing The Fifth World Conference in Sedona, Arizona". SDG President, JoyBeth Lufty, will be one of the featured presenters spreading Sacred Dance's community building and cleansing & healing aspects to a gathering of people from all over the world.
October 25, 2011- SDG Member, Lisa Michaels, has published a new book, "Nature's Success System: Secrets to Energize Your Health, Wealth & Passion with the Feminine Power of Creation." It has a chapter about "Simple Life RX- A Daily Dose of Dance" and SDG is one of the four global movements that the book will share a portion of the proceeds with.

SDG Member, Cynthia Thomas-Rustin's "Gospel Dance at Its Best " will be performed at The Carpenter Theatre Center-Stage in Richmond, VA.
It is a soul stirring Sacred Dance event that will showcase a fresh, new style of dance, choreography, and uplifting performances from the church to the mainstream stage. This year the Richmond Chines Dancer's will be featured as a special guest.
June 2011 - SDG Member Maggie Kast to Lead the First Dance and Spirituality Program for the Glen Workshop at Mt. Holyoke College
Kast, a longtime SDG member and award-winning dancer, choreographer, and author, will lead "Dance as Spiritual Path" for the popular Glen Workshop series. June 12-19 at Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.
March 2011- Jacob's Pillow, located in The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and where the first SDG Institutes/Festivals were held, has launched Dance Interactive, an online video collection from 1937 through 2010.
April 2010 - SDG Vice President Wins Prestigious Hay House Contest
Lisa Michaels, Vice President of the Sacred Dance Guild, is one of two winners in the prestigious Boston Movers and Shakers Hay House contest.
March 2010 - Erika Thimey Centennial Celebration
The Sacred Dance Guild celebrates the centennial of this renowned member who was one of the 20th century's most significant liturgical dance pioneers. The Erika Thimey Dance Theater, an SDG member group, honors her memory with a year-long centennial celebration from March 2010 to March 2011.
March 26, 2010 - Walking the Labyrinth
The Rev. Jean K. Ando, an SDG member of the New York/Southwestern Connecticut Chapter was photographed during Lent by The New York Times as she walked a labyrinth in Manhattan's Marble Collegiate Church. Jean is a leader of labyrinth walks as well as a circle dancer and ordained minister.

Nov. 24, 2009 - Franciscans Celebrate 800th Anniversary
New Evangelization Television; Brooklyn, New York
Currents, a news program on this faith-based cable TV station, covered a Nov. 21 danced vespers service at (Roman Catholic) All Saints Church in Manhattan, featuring dancers from SDG’s New York/Southwest Connecticut Chapter and guests, plus clips from an interview with Betsy O'Neill, chapter vice-president. The service celebrated the 800th anniversary of the Franciscan order.
Nov. 24 2009 - SDG Member Honored by Pacific School of Religion
SDG Member Carla DeSola was named to the Pacific School of Religion's 2010 list of Distinguished Alumni/ae. The announcement was made November 24 by PSR, which has presented the award annually since 1995.
