Hi Everyone,
I hope you all have had time now to dance from being a "Chapter" into becoming a "Local Network", checking out all our Local Network information on our website and letting us know your questions. This e-mail is to simply check in with you all and share more about all the changes.

One of the biggest changes has been that there will be no more rebates and that SDG will receive 50% of your future local workshop profits. We've been asked "why?" As simply put as possible, the world and SDG has greatly changed over the years. While SDG's yearly budget has more than tripled, even without a salaried Executive Director (which we will have to have in the future for SDG to continue), its only way of making an income, membership, has not. In fact, it has gone the opposite way. That is why we have expanded our programs and are now working on expanding our membership and other ways to bring in the necessary income to be able to continue to resource, network, and educate Sacred Dance, on the local, national, and international levels.

As you continue to transition from the Chapter Structure to Local Networks, be sure to start (or continue) to use: our SDG logo on your publicity, our Liability and Photo Release Forms, our Insurance for your LN events, our Online Membership Directory to find Sacred Dancers in your area, our Event Calendar, Facebook, Journal, & Local Network Newsletters to post your events, our Traveling Workshops and Presenter Package Rosters, as well as Resource Library and Business Directory to find resources to use...

We want to post your event photos and write ups on our Website and in our Journals. Let us know if you have a Facebook Page or Website as a Local Network so we can also post this on our SDG website. We always will want Local Network Sacred Dancers to volunteer for our SDG Board of Directors, to teach at/share/ and help us to produce our Festivals, to sign up as Traveling Workshop Presenters/Coordinators and to help coordinate SDGO Benefit Events.

And of course, your SDG Board of Directors is here for you to share ideas of how to spread Sacred Dance far and wide in "Dancing the Sacred, Moving the World" together...
